She'd picked Klaus up a couple days ago so she knew his building. And he hadn't answered her text and hadn't replied when she slid into his DMs. It wasn't important. It wasn't important and she was being all weird and clingy and...weird.

This was weird.

And yet, she got in past the doorman and found the flat and she was knocking on the door with her eyes closed, bracing for Klaus to think she was some sort of freaky stalker or some shit.

She was dressed much like she had been when she'd met Klaus in the park that day. Today she'd picked green, not black. Her faux alligator heels matched her clutch, which complimented her jade green suit. The jacket and pencil skirt were the same subtle brocade. Her stylish face mask was the same brocade and her wide brimmed stra hat was green and decorated with huge bright red poppies that were the same shade as her hair. And even though she was inside, she had her large sunglasses on.

It never hurt to be cautious.

Eliot blinked at her. Then dropped his hands, the shaker dropped easily to the counter as well. "Uh," he said. "I just assumed..."

She was green. She had to be supernatural, right?!

"I just can't get away from it," she said. "I thought maybe if I got out of America I'd get, like, a new start. But no, I just seem to attract weirdos," she said, sounding a little defeated.

"At least Klaus is cool. Dead people. That's pretty cool. Not like a psyonic midget or a sharkman prince." She huffed a bitter little laugh. "I should have known his husband wouldn't be ordinary."

"Well if it makes you feel better, I'm pretty harmless," Eliot offered, and picked up the shaker and poured the pleasantly brown liquid into two martini glasses, and then plopped a coffee bean on top of each. He handed one to her.

Ivy took a sip and winced.

"Harmless? Okay," she scoffed. "I think you just killed my liver."

"Want me to water it down with more coffee?" Eliot asked with an arched eyebrow.

"Actually...yeah," she said, pushing the glass toward him. "Thanks. I don't usually drink."

Not since that night with Harley, the hot tub, and God knew how many bottles of reisling.

Eliot didn't mind; he poured it back into the shaker, added more coffee, and shook again (with his hands this time). When he poured again it was about half as strong. He handed it to her.

She tried again and nodded this time.

"Better," she nodded. "Thanks."

"Well I'm afraid that's all I have to offer," Eliot said with a shrug. "Lackluster bartending skills."

"Dude, you just shook that without your hands. How is that lackluster?" she asked as she fished out the bean to chew on it.

"Doesn't change the taste," Eliot said with a lopsided smile.

Ivy smoked against the rim of her glass and took a sip to rinse the bean down.

"So but for real, what the fuck are you two gonna do? I'm cool with him living at my house, but he's not happy."

Eliot drained a generous amount of his cocktail. "He didn't even tell me where he is. Doesn't suggest he's interested in talking yet."

"Yeah," she conceded with a nod. "Well...my house. Is where he's at," she added with a shrug.

Eliot nodded. "I'm glad. I was afraid he'd stay at the church." He said that with some distaste.

"So it's not just me being a bitch? That place is weird, right?" Ivy asked, toying with her glass rather than drink it.

[eliot_thespectacular]

"Most churches are weird, but that Aaron guy gives me the creeps," said Eliot. "I've tried to... I mean, I'm glad Klaus is happy. I just try not to talk to him about it."

"That's stupid," she said flatly. "You're just going to wind up resenting him for something he doesn't even see as a problem. Talk to him about the creeper."

Eliot snorted. "The problem is, I have nothing to say. I can't give you a single reason why he's creepy. And Klaus knows I have hangups about religion."

Ivy arched a brow.

"Hang ups?"

[eliot_thespectacular]

"My parents are homophobic bible thumpers," Eliot said flatly.

[poison_isley]

"I can see where that might color your opinion," she replied. "And would make him not take you seriously. That's some baggage, man. Sorry."
