Ever since the station, Ivy had been keeping very much to herself. She'd known she would be in trouble, but it was more the whispers and accusations of her own people than the disapproval of the commander that had her apart and alone.
Today she was working with a sapling that had been contaminated by spores. The nature of the spores was a symbiotic relationship, but she new the little tree would never survive. It was too young. But she did what she could, sitting next to it and encouraging the tree to survive and the fungus to hold off.
She only looked up when she heard the doors and footsteps. A smear of dirt on her cheek and a few stray leaves in her hair, she almost looked like a plant herself.
"Hello? she said quietly.

"If you tell me what's wrong, plants have the capability to help, sometimes even cure. And I can make anything grow."
She paused and smiled at him.
"What's the matter, Klaus?" she asked gently.
