Ivy was so fucking bored. She'd robbed a jewelry store, a book shop, and liberated a flower shop. Now that she's bought her latte and was in her car she grew frustrated trying to think of what to do to kill the itch she had to just...just fucking tear something down. Like Big Ben. Or the Eyes. Something cool.
Rather than go full on chaos, she swung her little red convertible around and headed to Klaus's flat. Now that he and Eliot had patched things up she wasn't seeing him as often as she liked. She'd like it if he stayed at hers, but he was his own person and blah blah or whatever.
She was casual today in a pair of good skinny jeans and a Bad Religion shirt. Her hair was down and loose and her sunglasses she'd pushed up, which kept here hair back.
"You better be home, loser," she said to herself as she knocked firmly.

"Hi, Ivy. What brings you to these parts? Come in," he invited. This was Fin's flat, but he was getting more comfortable calling it his too.

Date: 2020-09-06 09:50 am (UTC)She strolled right in, taking a look around.
"You got new art," she noticed, pointing the the new shit Fin had bought. "Nice. Not my taste, but I appreciate it- anyway, what are you doing? Because, babe, you fucked up your mouth."

Date: 2020-09-06 10:31 am (UTC)Klaus shrugged. The flat wasn't his to decorate so nothing here was to his taste. In fact, his taste was exactly how Ivy had decorated his room at her house.
"Yeah, I was trying out new looks, you know. Fit for a medium." He waved his hands vaguely.

"Is, uh...this one of your options?" she then asked skeptically.

Date: 2020-09-06 03:23 pm (UTC)"Yeah!" Klaus laughed and wiggled his ass. "Not really, though. I was trying out a face. Tea? Coffee?"
no subject
Date: 2020-09-06 03:48 pm (UTC)"Coffee," she nodded. "I like the eyes. Keep the eyes. But no lips."
She pointed at him to emphasize how firm she was on that.

Date: 2020-09-06 07:25 pm (UTC)"Yeah, no, that was a mistake," Klaus agreed. "I was just tempted by the colour and it looked great, but its not the look I'm going for."

Date: 2020-09-07 05:04 am (UTC)"So what made you decide to take it up a notch?" she asked. "Real money to be made?"
She wandered over to a chair and flopped down into it, kicking one leg over the arm.
"Let me rephrase...real money without a shitload of work?"

Date: 2020-09-07 06:48 am (UTC)"Yah, so much," Klaus said with an almost guilty snicker. "I mean, the main thing is the donations, of course. For the church. But the people... they just give me stuff. Who am I to say no to their gratitude, right?" He said, while taking two mugs for coffee.

Date: 2020-09-07 06:52 am (UTC)"I mean, right, right? It's not like you're making them do it. Or even demanding it. There's literally no downside to that," she reasoned. "And it seems like it's making you happy. Am I right?"
no subject
Date: 2020-09-07 06:59 am (UTC)Klaus would argue exactly the same. No harm done. Everyone happy.
"I do. It's nice to help people. Turn that curse into a gift," he nodded as if to remind himself that that was the reason. He didn't add how much he just loved the adoration of the masses - all that love and reverence in their eyes - and how good it felt to be possessed - to just give up for a while and be free of a body.

Date: 2020-09-07 07:05 am (UTC)"Then get that bread, baby," she smiled.
"You been doing anything else? How's your mans?" Ivy asked with a little laugh. Calling Eliot his mans was absolutely fucking hilarious to her.

Date: 2020-09-07 07:14 am (UTC)He laughed because this was so hilarious to her. "He's fine. Oh, did I tell you Fin died?"
no subject
Date: 2020-09-07 07:18 am (UTC)"WHAT?!" exploded out of her and she shot up out of her seat.
"How the fuck did you now lead with that? What happened? Are you okay?" she asked, rushing up and holding his arms so she could look into his eyes.
no subject
Date: 2020-09-07 07:22 am (UTC)"Well, it didn't happen yesterday," Klaus replied, frowning at her sudden reaction. "I'm fine. It's weird. Our Fin died, and a Fin from another timeline came in to take his place. So... the Fin we knew is dead, but there is still one around. And he knew all of us, so the timeline wasn't all that different, I guess."

Date: 2020-09-07 07:26 am (UTC)She took a breath and sighed in relief.
Then punched his arm.
"Jerk, you scared the sit out of me for a second," she said. Gently, she rubbed the spot she'd hit. "So, what, I get to meet him all over again? TIme line shit is always so fucking weird."
no subject
Date: 2020-09-07 07:37 am (UTC)"Ouch!" Klaus whined when she hit him. "Yeah, I guess so. I mean, in his timeline I was... Well, I wasn't really... I think I was just there to be pretty. So I don't think he knows that much about me, and I doubt my other self would bring up any friends."
"This Fin's nice though. I didn't get along that well with the other one."
no subject
Date: 2020-09-07 07:42 am (UTC)"Just to be pretty?" she asked. Something about that didn't sit right right with her when he said that. That was some bullshit.
no subject
Date: 2020-09-07 07:45 am (UTC)She was sweet to worry about it, but he dismissed it. "Yeah, Fin and his Eliot were a thing. So..." So, Klaus was the 'pet' on the side. It really didn't surprise him that life would have taken him down that road. Especially since he wasn't sober in that timeline.

Date: 2020-09-07 07:48 am (UTC)"Whoa, whoa, whoa...this Fin, and Eliot?"
She laid her hand on his cheek.
"Baby, you know you have a home if this shit all goes south..."

Date: 2020-09-07 08:21 am (UTC)So maybe having some friends with a string of shitty boyfriends gave her a unique kind of perspective- because, really, Eliot wasn't going to try to explode Klaus or drop him in acid- but that was still up there on the shitty-things-for-a-husband-to-do list.
"It doesn't sound like honesty did anything but make you feel bad and absolve him of doing anything wrong. Did you tell him that's not okay, Klaus? Did you tell him/" she pressed, ultimately wrapping him in a spindly hug.

Date: 2020-09-07 08:51 am (UTC)"We're not adjoined to the hip, Ivy," Klaus assured, feeling better for dismissing the whole thing. "Alright? He can do as he wants."
no subject
Date: 2020-09-07 08:58 am (UTC)"And you're going to stand here and look in my eyes and tell me with a straight face that that in no way bothers you?" she asked. "Bullshit. Don't lie to me, sugar. The more you lie, the more i want to punch him."
no subject
Date: 2020-09-07 09:39 am (UTC)"Look, it's nothing, okay? We're not exclusive..." Oh, Klaus was aware how that sounded. "Look, if I wanted him to stop, I'd ask him. It was just a kiss. Poor Fin has lost his lover. It was just comfort."
